KoreanRead is published by Everstone Co., Ltd.. Using the site means accepting what is written here. It is short because the site is simple.
What you get
Every page is free to read, with no account and no registration. We do not promise the site will always be reachable, and we may add, change or remove pages without notice.
Using the material
The text on this site may be quoted with attribution to koreanread.com. Crawling is welcome — see robots.txt, which allows search and answer-engine crawlers explicitly, and llms.txt.
The recordings are different. The MP3 files are published so you can listen to them on this site. They are not licensed for redistribution or for reuse in other products, datasets or applications. If you want to use them elsewhere, ask first at evstbiz@evst.co.kr.
What is not ours
Hangul is not anyone’s property, and neither are the rules this site applies. Standard Korean Pronunciation and the Romanization of Korean are public standards published by the National Institute of Korean Language, and this site quotes them by article number so you can check every claim against the source. What belongs to us is the editing, the arrangement and the recordings.
Accuracy
We cite the article behind each pronunciation claim, and the site states openly where a cell has no recording of its own or borrows another syllable’s. Even so, the standards bodies are the authority, not this site. If you find an error, tell us at evstbiz@evst.co.kr and we will fix it or say why we disagree.
The site is provided as is. We are not liable for losses arising from relying on it — it is a reference for learners, not professional advice.
The mobile app is separate
The companion app, Learn Korean — Hangul & Words, is a different product and is governed by its own terms. Nothing here applies to it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
